– January 1st not only marked the start of the 2019 year but for Felling Trailers, Inc. it marks 45-years in the business of manufacturing trailers. To commemorate this significant anniversary, the company has selected three limited edition paint colors; Plum Crazy Purple Metallic, Ruby Red Metallic, and Sublime Green. The limited edition anniversary colors will be available for purchase to Felling customers for the extent of 2019. Along with this, all trailers manufactured during Felling’s 2019 anniversary year will dawn a commemorative decal marking it as a 45th-anniversary edition trailer.

For Felling, the color selection process started with three-color shades and then moved on to complete a color match with the assistance of Felling’s PPG representative. With the final colors selected, PPG worked with their lab to ensure the chosen colors would provide the same quality coverage and color luster that Felling’s customers have come to expect.

With the start of trade show season gearing up for the company, the decision was made to debut these anniversary colors to the crowds at upcoming industry trade shows. The Plum Crazy Purple Metallic color will be on display in Felling’s World of Asphalt booth, #13128, on Felling’s FT-40-2 TA (air tilt) trailer February 12th-14th in Indianapolis, IN. The Sublime Green color will be on display in Felling’s booth, #4723, at The ARA Show (The Rental Show) on a Felling FT-12 EZT EZ-Tilt trailer February 19th-21st in Anaheim, CA. The Ruby Red Metallic, painted on an FT-16 IT-I, will be on display at various Felling Dealer events throughout the first part of the year.

At Felling we take great measures to ensure a high-quality paint finish is applied to your trailer and we back it with a 3-year warranty.

Felling Trailers, Inc. uses PPG’s paint system on its trailers. PPG paint products consist of a two-component polyurethane technology designed to optimize field performance and meet or exceed current environmental regulations. One of the most important qualities of a steel trailer is the preparation it receives before painting and the quality of primer and paint. All materials used in the production of Felling Trailers, are of the highest quality commercially available. After assembly, the trailer is completely steel grit blasted, to a 1-2 mil profile to remove all rust and contaminants. Next, a polyurethane high build primer is applied, resulting in a dry film thickness of 2.5-3.0 mils. The trailers are then painted with a polyurethane finish topcoat, resulting in a complete dry film thickness (DFT) of 4-6 mils and fully cured in our temperature controlled dust free cure facility. “PPG products” are used exclusively, including the top of the line polyurethane primer and high solids low V.O.C. compliant polyurethane top coat on all Felling Trailers. Preparation and painting processes are monitored daily by in-house technicians, “PPG representatives” and Felling Trailers, Inc. in-house quality control teams to ensure consistency in quality. Felling Trailers come with a 3-year warranty on the paint. Many paint systems used in the production finishing of trailers do not meet the environmental standards that PPG paint materials do. The PPG paint products Felling Trailers use are 3.5 V.O.C. compliant, and both Lead and Chrome free. The PPG cured paint film is not considered a hazardous material. Felling Trailers offers these PPG paint colors, they include Felling Black, Construction Grey, Bold Yellow, Oklahoma Orange, Cosmic Blue, Vivid White, Construction Yellow, Omaha Orange, and Viper Red.
